During the colder months I would choose Old.

I like the regular Sussex but like the sound of some of the others. Must get over to Lewes and try some more out. The John Hop sounds like it might be my cup of tea, I like hoppy ales.

You don't get sponsored by Harvey's by any chance do you LB? If not, I think you should.

Don't think I've ever had it, but Christmas Ale is making me feel all warm and nostalgic about Christmas time down the boozer with your mates... Can't wait!:drink:

Bitter, straight from the barrel. I had some once at the Halfway House on the A26, and it was pure nectar. By the way, does the Lord Nelson have Old? I shall have some time to get rid of on December 4th before a trip to the Theatre Royal to see Round the Horne, so I thought I might pop in.

Now this is a proper poll. Normally I would have to go for Best Bitter or Mild. But as I have not had a pint of Old this season - I have to go for that.

Old in winter autumn, best in summer and spring.

A man of taste, if I may say so.
