I remember standing on the East Terrace North at The Goldstone and watching Dean Saunders going down the right wing towards the South Stand and he was like lightning! Never seen anyone faster before or since...

Rings a bell. We don't often see c/f's running one on one towards goal much these days...

Which reminds me of Terry Connor running towards the South goal at The Goldstone v. Millwall in the Play-Off s/f in '91 and slotting. Finished 4 -1! Blinder :yahoo:

Starting a revolution from my bed
From my life time the two quickest players I can remember are Brooker and Wayne Grey, though the memory of the latter may be slightly jaded.
