I get you. And you’re absolutely correct.Not sure what point exactly you are trying to get across here (well I do sort of) but ( and don’t take this the wrong way, I’m not attacking you) you have chosen a poor anecdote to make it imo:
Neither CB nor PIP are means tested benefits -people can get both even if they are earning a good income.
Even in that case. I don’t think that justifies using PIP to buy duty free fags

Child benefit should be used for essentials, no?
I dunno. I’m behind the times.
My feeling is that benefits, if needed, should be spent on essentials. Otherwise they’re not needed.
I suppose my point was that it’s a bad example to set and this is how this behaviour perpetuates.
Also, I’m taking it you’ve never been in the Rainbow Cafe? I don’t think even the people that work there have jobs.
