Okay, I know we all love a moan, but this is ridiculous.

We'd all like to have six points rather than one - and to have scored some goals - but -

1. The Cardiff game was pretty entertaining, against a team that we expect to be up there this season. And CMS looked fit and energised again.

2. The new signings all looked good.

3. Buckley's back on Saturday.

4. The stadium looks better than ever.

5. There was a new ground attendance record, and the highest Championship crowd of the night - bigger than Wolves or Sheffeild Wednesday, who, no doubt, regard themselves as "massive clubs."

6. I can't speak for others, but I found the travel okay, even though the bus back to the Race Hill only got about ten yards before it broke down.

7. Palace are bottom!

Can't see there's anything to be negative about at the moment. Performance last night and at Hull were both good, just the finishing touch missing, which is being worked on.

Agree on all your points above too, especially the stadium - looked magnificent and was getting rave review from the Cardiff fans as posted on another thread.

Re. Transport - Stayed for 1 pint after the match, walked to station, waited 5 minutes and then on train to Brighton. Perfect.

Who says a game cannot be entertaining without any goals ? 2 opening games against sides with a pedigree. The shit would really be hitting the fan if we had lost and drawn against sides like Watford and Bristol City.

Standing in the way of control
Tremendous backlash of reassurance on here today, it's marvellous. All that loneliness and embitterment on here does have a purpose, opposites attract, the optimism comes beaming forth and with any luck its slender fragility won't be druv by anything Barnsley can come up with on Satdi. Bruno's a bit untrustworthy defensively. No hang on, Bridge is superheroic.

A big plus as well, at least from what I saw last night, is that we seem to have improved an awful lot at the front. No, we haven't scored, but we don't hang about once we get forward like we did last season. Once we get up there we flow nicely and push to get a shot off. 16 shots and 9 on target (going by BBC's stats) seems good to me, and much better than we were at the tail end of last season. Marshall made some good saves for Cardiff last night, felt that was all the really kept us out (although Kuszczak had a cracker too).

I must admit i went last night with little hope of a positive result, but came away quite upbeat.

The movement was better than much of last season, the tempo of play was faster and i saw cms run on to more through balls in 90 mins than the whole of last season. Noone had a bit of spark about him last night, the defence was solid against one of the best forward pairings in the league. The signing of Kuszczak must give the back four a massive lift.

If and it's a big IF............Buckley and the spanish fella can stay fit and a striker can be found, we'll have a good season.

We had more points at this stage last season, but finished poorly. Start slow and build up, not the other way round.

Reading stormed the league, yet didn't even start firing on all cylinders until Christmas. I dread to think how moany some of the gibbons on here would be if we didn't fire up properly until then

This is a tough league. Hull away and Cardiff were always going to be difficult to win. People are overreacting.

However Barnsley home on Saturday we really should be winning...

This is exactly what I was going to put. We started with 2 tough games which I think I prefer to having them near the end of the season where everyone needs the points. If we don't at least get a goal on Saturday, then we can all start panicking!

9. Gus actually subbed Barnes for being shite

Just bore the f*** off, you dismal little creature.

ps 'Tis heartening to see a positive backlash emerging from the desolate, loveless, post-match reactions. TT Likey. :clap2:
