I think Shoreham Moonraker has it about right. Albion marginally deserved to win, and
Ankergren was fortunate to stay on the pitch. El Abd took some big risks with his tackling, too. I disagree only in that , being in line with play, I didn't see Sparrow's second goal as being offside.
Sparrow's performance was really promising, and Navarro was impressively calm: he defuses crises without panicking. There were other solid performances in mid-field and defence, and a pleasing cameo from OGH at the end. But both sides lacked width and imagination. It's not surprising that Gus is looking for a creative winger with pace. On the evidence of today's game, we need just such a person. I'm not persuaded by Barnes in the role of lone striker: it's the first time I've seen him, so he might just have had an off day. But he seemed short of pace, and technically limited.

I didnt think that Ankergren should have got a red acrd as Austin was going awaty from goal and didnt have the ball under control. What does it matter we won. Also didnt hear them singing 'we can see you holding hands' but I did laugh when I heard our fans singing 'Wheres your captain gone'
