Dunno.

But the true fans - like me will continue to support us. To be honest, I think it will only be young fans, people my age who will neglect us if they are going to. All the old fans will contine to stick with the club because of sentimental value etc.

Also, I am not supporting a team just because of the commercial value. Football has gone far to commercial as it is, someone asked me to be a rugby fan as that hasn't changed at all, compared to footballing terms.

There are a lot of fans out there thay simpy don't go anymore because;

a) It's difficult to get tickets (especially for the BIG games)

Whilst that was true in the past, every game this season has gone on general sale.

I asked Dick Knight if it could be expanded at the Albion Xmas party 3 years ago, he said it definetly can. If you look at the design three of the roofs can be raised in line with the larger stand and the corners can be filled in. I'd say that would take it to around 28,000 to 30,000. (The crowds we used to get in the 70's)

I am sure this has been discussed before.....but!

The proposed capacity of 22,374 seems a little on the small side if one day we were to aim to "do a" charlton or a pompey.

Is the stadium big enough? Is there scope to expand it? Could we compete with other teams at the top end of this league, should crowds begin to rise or would that cost be passed onto supporters through ticket prices?

You're Right

There is no doubt about it. One of the criticisms of Falmer is that the is no room for expansion. With subtle design they might be able to squeeze 25,000 in but short of getting relegated to the Conference (where standing terraces are allowed?) it looks like there will never be big home crowds to watch the Albion again!

Only the money men would say

30,000 @ £15 = £450K
15,000 @ £30 = £450K
22,500 @ £20 = £450K

Plymouth and Cardiff have terracing.

And I don't think we'd get huge crowds if we were playing Conference football.

I may have not been to as many games as you Kev but...

I am ADDICTED to the club
I look out for the latest merchandise offers
I subscribe to all club news feeds if I can (Texts etc.)
I go on the official website a dozen times each day for news and sh!t
I now go to fair amount of games (Give me 3 [Falmer] years and I will hopefully have a 100% home record/season)
I make graphics and stuff for fans/club
Wear BHA clothing whenever there is a match for good luck or etc.

Call me sad, call me obnoxious or call me true.

Bloody hell, I can't compete with that.

For the record if Albion didn't exist I'd judge a new team on how much I liked their kit.

It wouldn't be much fun having a half filled stadium each week though would it?
I didn't see the Reading fans complaining......

Can I ask, as an away travelling fan, will I get tickets to the big games or do sth get priority, if they do then this is unfair IMO

How bizarre, I read one of your posts and didn't get an over-whelming urge to strangle you. A step in the right direction 1066, there is hope for you yet.
