David Gold won't go for Falmer in the current plan. It would be too small for his ambitions.

My suspicions would be that the owners of Toad's Hole have got an idea in their heads. It won't come off because it would require another Public Inquiry.

The only realistic alternative to Falmer is Pende, should Gold want to invest.

I think the supporters should be realistic.

there is a very good reason why Pende is better than Falmer. It would enjoy public support from the local people.

The socio-political criteria are:

1. Is it the truth?
2. Is it fair to all concerned?
3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?"

Before we go any further, in no more than 75 words, please can you complete the following sentence:

I THINK THE QUESTION OF PENDE IS A HIGHLY RELEVENT AND PERTINENT POINT WELL WORTH RAISING IN THE CONTEXT OF THIS THREAD TODAY BECAUSE ____________________________________________________________________

I AM / AM NOT FULLY AWARE THAT PERMISSION WAS GRANTED FOR A STADIUM AT FALMER SOME THREE MONTHS AGO

Was Perseus not the one who insisted that Falmer would NEVER be granted?

Nope, I never said that. I should have put a bet on the Planning Permission going through on Falmer. There were no grounds where it could be stopped. It could only be delayed.

For the record, I never objected to Falmer. I have always had my reservations about its suitability on cost grounds and because of the bad will created. The bad will is not an overiding problem. It did mean that the better site on Village Way further up the hill was ruled out because of all the complaints. The politician wanted to appease people and ending making a bit of a bodge up.

When it comes down to it, how much ££££ is it gonna cost?

I gave up when Tories got into Adur Council cause I could not see any hope with them.

Jacqueline Gold is not a Director of Birmingham.
