OK so this rolls onto at least 09.04.04 (probably longer).

What shall we do next in the campaign ?

Sit in at Withdean ?

Sit in at Sheffield Wednesday ?

Protest March ?

Any bright ideas ?

Didn't really look up for a football match when we there when BHAFC were away to Grimsby.........

But keep on thinking we must do something to keep up the campaign

They know how important Falmer is to the club and its supporters. We need to think bigger and either demonstrate:

1) that Falmer is in the NATIONAL interest.

2) that it is of such paramount importance to the community (Moulescoombe/Whitehawk/Coldean as well as Brighton and Hove) that this over-rides any niggly concerns they may have about the site.

We have maybe addressed the former, but what about the latter?

posted this in another thread but theres a Labour Welsh Conference happening THIS weekend, see the main labour site for details. We MUST get something there so show our support, not saying JP will be there himself but who knows? A few Falmer For All banners will catch the eye of the Labour peeps and maybe word will spread back to whitehall.
Yes its short notice but there must be some Seagulls fans living in Wales near enough the venue?

Also June 10th Prescott himself is rallying people for some campaign thing...again on the main website, surely if the decidion is not out by then, then we MUST do something on this day - imagine overshadowing labours own campaign with ours!

Get in touch with schools and get the next generation of Albion fans involved, throughout Sussex and if we can get players or representatives to attend school campaigns.Children writing letters to John Prescott, drawings etc, what they would like to see for the future ?

The education / schools thing might work.

Is it worth talking to the club and the community scheme ?

As for protest walks they require policing - not so sure this would put over the right message for full support

Yes worth talking.
One of the playing staff and a couple of helpers at each school and might get some support from the education people.
Why can't a walk be policed ?
They do it for Gay pride, anti hunt and loads of other things, might even get filmed along the way.

I also think that guerillla tactics by displaying the We Want Falmer banner in an unusual place would work. If it was innovative and funny it would get National press coverage.

Boat to the end of the West Pier?? Good, but not "national" enough.
Wimbledon? - July - maybe too late.
Have we had the Boat Race yet? Hang it up on the wall at Fulham/Craven Cottage?

Even if some of these events are a way off yet I think it would be a good idea to plan some daily campaigns for those days if the decision has still not been reached. That way we dont get "stuck" like we are now, we will have a contingency (sp?) plan with backup campaign ideas which will be ready to rock 'n roll if/when we need to carry on the fight.

excuse me for swearing but the :censored: Boat Race goes under *FOUR* bridges......we MUST and I mean MUST get the FFA banner on at least one of them along with as many other FFA banners we have, I'm doing bugger all this sunday and would help if it gets off the ground in time.
