Not sure if it's Lewes DC or East Sussex CC. I do actually think it is LDC though.
Could've sworn the flood defences are/were LDC's responsibility, as I seem to remember them copping a LOAD of flak last time the town was flooded. Naturally they deflected all this and passed the buck by blaming a lack of funding from central government.

As a contingency plan the council is providing swimming lessons for everyone who lives between Cliffe Bridge and South Street.

Try and be a bit more supportive of other people's Falmer efforts in future.

Thats a bit rich:rolleyes:

I am just as fed up of hearing how naughty LDC are as the rest of you are about how the STRH's can all go and f*** off when it comes to being guaranteed a FA Cup ticket over someone who has been to one game in 2005!

We all know how naughty LDC, its not rocket science, however all the wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth means naught until RK makes her descision. that was the point I was trying to make.

dave,

are we talking about her press secretary of the press secretary for her department? The reason I ask is because she claims to be a fan of her constituency club - bolton - and used this in her election literature.

I don't think you can base any assumptions on that! Almost all MPs (and other candidates come General Election time) do this. Beyond vaguely having heard of Nat Lofthouse and presumably knowing how to get to the Reebok (she was speaking at a local Govt conference there in mid Dec.) I do wonder whether she may well be rather shakey in terms of her overall knowledge of Bolton FC

I know some people talk about "keeping up the pressure" but what pressure. Its not as if RK reads this board is it? In fact if you believe her press secretary she is not a football fan,
You might be very surprised who reads this board, Dave.

So if/when Ruth Kelly gives us the ok to build, can LDC or other interested parties then attempt to go down the judicial review route again if they think the decision is faulty?

Yeah, fair point seeing as how I'd slagged off the march at the Lib Dem conference!
