Falmer - Albion's Closing Statement and News about when Prescott will get the Report

1. Falmer Parish Council's application for their costs to be paid by the Football Club - apparently on the grounds that the Public Inquiry was only necessary because the Club failed to submit enough information for the City Council to have considered the application properly in June 2002 and (on the basis of the information that was presented at the Inquiry) any right minded Council would have turned the stadium down. This obvious outcome would have avoided the need for Falmer Parish Council to have employed an expensive barrister and all the assorted bat experts that they have paid for. Therefore the Football Club should cover all their costs.

The decision wasn't taken today. To tell the truth, I'm not sure who is responsible for deciding. My guess is that the Inspector will make a recommendation to Prescott. But I might be wrong.

L.B: Did Falmer parish council give a figure as to how much they are claiming?

No.

So far they've covered their costs by putting up the Parish Council's council tax charge to £275.17 per average Band D household. And that's just for this year.

There are just over 100 households in the parish.

The Argus make me laugh, how can they write drivel like that on Saturday, I was well pissed when I read it, and it turns out to be complete crap.
They should now put it right, but somehow I dont think they will.
Considering this, how much can we beleive about the shortlist of managers - little I suspect?
