I'd much rather have a president please.
Or at the very least, a vote on whether to do away with them, with:
* 18 months run-up
* a non-bias press and media
I genuinely don't believe the country would accept royalty if the details were made plain to the public.
But it's a dull argument, and pointless discussing on boards like these.

How much would it cost to get rid. Billions I reckon. Rewrite constitution, set up presidency snd all staff. Rename all Royal institutions like airforce, etc (even down to charities), stamps, currency. Continue to pay for upkeep of properties. Still have some large security costs for many years etc. For what? Another self opionated politician from one old boys network or another. Cant see the point..
