With Lamptey and Veltman out, is there any word on Ferdi? Seems to remember May being mentioned.

Still no mention of Veltman?

I really rate Hinshelwood but he is not suited to playing full back against fast, tricky wingers. Minteh is going to have to put in a ridiculous shift again.
Think Hinshelwood is our best RB. No big concerns.
Problem is if he gets injured. I guess, out of the available players, Solly would be his replacement.

Mats Weiffer has had a couple of substitute appearances there. I'd guess it would be him.

That's Minteh's job.
Playing full back? Surely not.

Or putting in a ridiculous shift? It might well be his job at the moment in this hybrid wing back/winger role he’s in but I’m really not sure it’s sustainable as his permanent ‘job’. He has to put in a huge amount of running, be switched on defensively from a positional perspective and still produce a lot for us going forwards as well. It’s a very hard task and at some point it will drop off (especially because he will always be in the XI - no one else in the squad could do it), despite the clear success it’s having so far.

Mitoma will start.

Edit: In case of some weird tactical stuff going on that sees Mitoma not start and someone coming back and calling me out on this post...

Mitoma is fit to start if Hurzeler wants to start him. And I imagine he will.
Does he have his contact lenses with him this time?

'Joel Veltman is “still in rehab”.

“It’s an ankle injury,” said Hurzeler on Veltman. “Now the question is, what’s the definition, what is long?

“I think there’s a chance that we will see him back [before the end of the season]. He is a good healer, so I have a big trust in my medical staff, medical department, and in his mindset to be back on the pitch as quick as possible, so there’s a chance that he will be back in several weeks.”'

Bad news.. Could be out for the rest of the season
I think he said that about Lamptey, not Veltman.
This is what is quoted on the Albion website

"Tariq has an ankle injury. I think there's a chance that we will see him back [before the end of the season]. He is a good healer, I have a big trust in my medical staff and in Tariq's mindset to be back on the pitch as quickly as possible. There's a chance that he will be back in several weeks."

"Joel Veltman is doing rehab, but he won't be an option. I think he will be back in some days.

Presumably some days means hopefully for Crystal Palace, rather than someday which means next season

It might not be sustainable but it'll have to work until next season when all our FBs will hopefully be fit again.
