I think you’ve kind of answered it haven’t you? Moyes is a competent manager ours isn’t.So? We drew (not lost) simply because we didn't put multiple chances away. We didn't lose or draw to a better side. That's purely down to the players not scoring the opportunities they had. Shit happens, but we didn't lose....and there's still plenty of points to play for.
Who would have thought Forest would lose to Everton?
That's harsh on RS mate.Fabian Hurzeler is the new Russell Slade.![]()
Watch that first goal again Dunk gets done high up the pitch. The act of scoring can be quite random. Their first goal came from a ball rebounding and putting someone clean through. It was lucky. XG demonstrates the quality of chances created. We created a load of chances that were very good. Had the tactics been EXACTLY the same but we scored some of the simple chances then Fab would not have caused anything different.
Twice now Minteh has missed far post chance by refusing to use his right foot. MOR has to score that header. Other finishes were also really poor. XG shows you are creating chances. The act of scoring can be weird.
In football you can batter a side but not win. Most famously that match palace when they touched the ball twice in our box. Both were wielding first touch finishes.
I truly don't get your point. We had plenty of chances in front of goal - more than Leicester, so it's purely down to the players missing those chances, nothing to do with Dunk.I think you’ve kind of answered it haven’t you? Moyes is a competent manager ours isn’t.
He would never have Dunk playing in such a high line which cost us a goals on multiple occasions for instance.
Where does the buck stop though?Quite so - we had plenty of chances (is that Fab's fault?), yet our individual finishing was shite.
Again, is that down to Fab or the actual players who can't hit the net?
I suggest it's the latter.
Or have the players underachieved with this manager?I think he's underachieved with this squad.
You would 'of' thought that if you can use a message board you could write English that made sense...
You would of thought that after 32 games how to play against counter attacking teams...
You’ll get pelters for the comparison but I completely agree. You could have Stevie Wonder managing this squad and we’d be comfortable with our squad in this league. The lack of game plan, structure, in game management and direction from the touch line is absolutely in line with Hyppia. We just have a few special players. That's harsh on RS mate.
This is Hyppia level, difference being we actually have players this time!
Only one other manager in the premier league plays suicidal tactics that are completely unsuited to our slow centre backs. The fat Australian who is one of the only managers that is worse than fab.Or have the players underachieved with this manager?
Both manager and players are young and inexperienced. I think on the most part Fab has been fine, but the finger does tend to be pointed in one direction only.
The last twenty all on the game plan. He didn’t combat RvN’s changes that put them on top. Personally I would have put Baleba back in midfield we were getting done bought on Wieffer or Cashin (cough) to play CB. It’s not really rocket science.I truly don't get your point. We had plenty of chances in front of goal - more than Leicester, so it's purely down to the players missing those chances, nothing to do with Dunk.
I didn't watch that game today, not sure what you're on aboutOnly one other manager in the premier league plays suicidal tactics that are completely unsuited to our slow centre backs. The fat Australian who is one of the only managers that is worse than fab.
Imo, the players out there today had multiple opportunities to score, yet failed. How can that be blamed on the manager? They are paid to do their job - ie hit the target.Where does the buck stop though?
In all honesty, is anyone surprised by the result?
The Brighton game today where dunk was caught countless times way up in the wrong half ..... As well as HinshelwoodI didn't watch that game today, not sure what you're on about
Neither. Our results and performances overall have been according to reasonable expectations imo.Or have the players underachieved with this manager?
Quite.Neither. Our results and performances overall have been according to reasonable expectations imo.
Obviously the strong contrast between highs and lows make it feel like we are overperforming when we win and underperforming when we don't, but generally speaking we are where we "should" be (= bang average with plenty of growth potential)... even if my gut says "get rid of all of them" right now.
Hurzeler cannot put the ball in the back of the net, the players can and this is entirely on them. That was an absolutely shameful performance, absolutely embarrassing.
