How about this. Draw the third round before the second round matches are played. Think of the extra edge todays game would have if we knew we would play Man U in the next round.

Are you insane? They'd never put Brighton v Staines on tv in the third round! It'll be Manu v X or arsenal v Y

I was thinking more along the lines of what ITV did with Northwich, there moment in the sun and all that, could be the same for Stanies.

Btw the idea posted above about drawing the 3rd. round before the 2nd. round is played is flawed, as how much of an incentive would it be if you're drawn against a shit team in the third round? More of a dis-incentive I'd say It's all about the surprise factor as it stands...
