I do not understand comments about the concentrating on the league. We should always put out a strong side in the FA Cup. 2/3 more extra games a season is hardly going to make much of a difference.

The perfect chance to put out 1 or 2 of the development squad like we did with J F-C last season and see how they have developed.

All depends on who we draw of course. Completely agree that we should blood some youngsters against, say, a league 1 or 2 side. If however, we draw a premier league side lets put out a strong side, and have a good go at them.

Personally I think gus will give the FA cup a good go this year an early exit in the league cup as given us no fixture pile up so far so can't see why we can't give the cup our full attention if we were to get to the quarter finals it's only 4 extra games to be honest I can see us going quite far a few nice home draws against lower opposition in the early rounds a giant killing at the Amex in the quarter finals then it's Wembley in the semis were we will lose to man utd (again)

I'm sorry Mark but you're wrong. Gus doesn't like the 'minor' cups like the League cup or JPT. He has said there should be just one cup competition and the league each season and nothing else.
He loves the FA cup having won it himself, and in the 3 years he has been our manager, has taken us to the 4th round twice and the 5th round against Villa, Stoke and Liverpool respectively.

Draw is on the 2nd December. Who ever heard of the FA Cup Third Draw being made in January. It used to be on the wireless 12:30pm on a Monday. Radio 2. Usually by the Chairman of the Challenge Cup Commitee and some Major or another.
