What a lap by Max! Sensational drive.

And Lawson finishing ahead of Tsunoda will give him a litle smile I'm sure.

But mostly, what a lap. I think Max has driven better over the last 15 months than at any time in his career.
I hope one of McLaren's win though, just to piss off Horner, Marco, Jos and all the red bull bigwigs

Maybe that's a question of opinions, I thought Villeneuve was very poor. He's fine as a pundit in the Naomi Schiff / Damon Hill bracket (talking to Simon in the paddock), but as a co-commentator I thought he was rubbish. Brundle is obviously extremely good and a hard act to fill in for, but give me Anthony Davidson any day of the week.

Fair enough, I found his sense of humour and insights into driver and team mentality better than Brundle’s

He’s also a world champion so his comments on Max held more sway with me. Maybe I just preferred his input, maybe it was because it was different.

As a big Lewis fan I am starting to wonder if he is the spent force many say he is. He seems to underperform in races, Le Clerc easily held off Russell but Lewis never really threatened his teenage replacement at Mercedes. Early days in a new car I know, but seeds of doubt sown

Planned to wake up early to watch the race.

Woke up on lap 52, saw all I needed, rolled over and went back to sleep.

The only interesting part of the race was Norris doing his best lawnmower impression.

Seemed like Max had another gear to go up and was coasting to victory, every time Norris threatened to get into DRS Max extended the gap again.

Very impressive drives from Antonelli, Hadjar and Bearman though, at least some of the rookies are performing well.

Lando is a loser compared to Max, Russell and Piastri imo. Nice guy though

Yep, Lando is extremely quick but doesn't seem to have the mentality.

Max's mentality is I'm better and will do anything to win
Piastri is extremely level headed and doesn't seem to let anything get to him

I don't think Russell is a world championship level driver. He's good but not that good.

Antonelli though is a future world champ for sure, incredibly impressed with him.

Not a bad race - I liked the way that things stopped working as the race progressed, but got so fed up with David Croft repeatedly said "papaya". Grrrr! So irritating!
