Better to lose in 1/4 than semi or final. However mentally think our heads will be gone for rest of the season.

Physically might be the issue with more injuries today. Ambulance was at back of stand players emerge. We assumed it's for Rutter who looked like he twisted his knee or ankle badly?

Have to say that one hurt. My only consolation was I was resigned to losing the penalty shoot out and was begging for us to drive forward in that last five minutes. Once the whistle blew I thought that was it. Sels is a very good keeper for penalties.

All part of the Albion experience though. Better than the old days. They'll be no less enjoyment for the rest of the season. Chin up.

That was (at the time) and is right now, a major concern . . . . Webster hopefully is a niggle and gave an opportunity for the old steam engine to get some time to 'ahem' get up to speed, after a lay off.

The most annoying aspect for me is that to get this far Forest beat hopeless Luton, scraped past Exeter on penalties and then one of the worst teams in the Premier League, Ipswich. Irritating.

Something about them really irritates me. Very organised and well-drilled but seem to get away with smashing people repeatedly, yet the same ‘hard men’ fall over if someone breathes on them. Have had ridiculous luck with injuries too. If we’d lost to Bournemouth the other week, I’d have felt it was against a really decent, admirable side. Forest not so much.

Well, personal positive is I can play in the first round of the Sussex handicap golf competition down at littehampton , which was cup semi final weekend.

hopefully our injuries were not that bad.

think that international break came too soon for this team.

shame Gomez missed a pen, as I thought he was brilliant when he came on.

Look for the positive. We cannot give that lot more ‘forever bragging’ rights.

Yep - much as Forest were decent enough tonight, if there’s a 50/50 game like that we deserved to go through given we’d beaten Chelsea and Newcastle. But that’s football. Doesn’t always play out like it should.

I hope they lose on pens in the final shortly after sliding down the table to 9th. I also hope they gambled on having the Europe money and overspent on something somewhere, leading to their liquidation

I don't have anything against their fans, they seem like a decent bunch, but I find their team particularly dislikeable.

Yeah, stupid goalkeeper keeping a clean sheet
the 120 minutes he was good. Hes a brilliant young keeper, but for pens you may as well stick a fan in goal. Has he ever saved one? The winning one went straight through him.

I honestly don't mind them. Galling to listen to them singing at the end as the crowd took AGES to filter out. But a good old club. They get the best out of those players.

I thought both teams were pretty poor to be honest, they had the best of the first half and I thought we edged most of the 2nd and extra time. Two tired teams standing still punching. No surprise it was decided on pens really.

Met a fair few of their fans and they were all sound. Slightly less impressed with some of our mega-brains who decided to throw coins at some of their fans in the train queue for having the temerity to sing about going to Wembley.

I'm a big fan of their right back. He's excellent. A knackered looking Mitoma and Adingra got nothing off him at all and his ability to get out of tight problematic situations is ridiculous.

Indeed, a nice glass of red, an eye to eye with the cat and The Dirty Dozen on 5 Action......all is good in the world.

He's basically the reincarnation of Peter Shilton. Never saves pens, and never LOOKS like he'll save one. Might as well hang a bead curtain off the crossbar.
