Having said all that, Arsenal relocated from Woolwich to Highbury back in the 1900's for econimic factors.

I have no problem with MK United or whatever they call themselves, as AFC Wimbledon are the true Wimbledon Team.

The Wimbledon fans would never go and watch them anyway. At plough lane, or Smellhurst, so why are we bleating on about them. If they wouldn't support the club then fine. Bye boys, I'll take the club to somewhere where people will turn up and watch.

Unfortunately this is real life, and fans want big financiers to help out by chucking money at them, when they want some return football fans moan. Welcome to the real world

Back then though football was still a baby (compared to its present form) and so some movement could perhaps be excused.

I think "investors" might be a better term and they should be investing for the love of a club, not the move them away.

Mr C

Football is evolving year on year. What passed for football in George Best's days is a totally different product than that of today. So I think the Arsenal arguement is a bit tenuous.

With regards to investors...no-one in their right mind would invest in football club. Jack Walker didn't invest in Blackburn, he gave them shed loads of money to win the premiership, ditto with Madjeski, he knows he will not get any sort of return for his millions.

Now a days, football clubs need a sugar daddy to keep going, especially those in the premiership. Whilst they get heaps of cash from the Sky deal, relegation shows the fragility of clubs with no backing ( Derby/Bradford/Ipswich etc)

The MK sugardaddies are the consortium who received no support from Wimbledon fans ( they wouldn't go and watch them) so why shouldn't they take their club elsewhere. Wimbledon fans served notice that they wanted nothing to do with Wimbledon...

This is not like an Archer Bellotti situation at all, as we stood and fought and got ourselves organised as we all know........
