Not Luton! Thank God
Are there such things as executive boxes at the withdean? and how much are they?

My girlfriends gran is a big albion fan and was a season ticket holder for 20 years until her husband passed away, but I don't think she would want to brave it in the stands at Withdean. My girlfriend was thinking about taking her for her birthday or Xmas.

In conjunction with the local scout troop, they have just finished constructing a tree house that precariously hangs above the South Stand. Rumour has it though, the club faces a legal battle with a local protection agency for rare forms of moss.

On NSC for over two decades...
You can probably purchase hospitality for her, as for an executive box... well you'd be sat in the North Stand, which is the one with the roof!!!

You'd need to contact the club - the above is pure speculation on my part.

Yeah there are. Only we call them 'portacabins'.

(No, sorry, even if you go to 'Hospitality' you have to sit in an open stand like the rest of us).

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
The 'new' hospitality area in the North Stand is actually pretty decent, the hot food is nice and you can normally eat as much as you want, you dont have to get all dressed up and there are normally a few club people milling around making it a very friendly informal day out.

That said you do have to get back into the North Stand, but there are certainly an awful lot worse ways to give the club some money (as the mark up on this is much better than spunking it on tat in the clubshop)

Thoroughly reccomend hospitality at Withdean. You will almost certainly meet up with DK, MP and other senior people in the club. Also you'll meet Johnny Byrne, plus the MOM and at least 2 other players from the game.

You can go for a table, think you need about 6-8 persons, works out £120 each ish. Or you could go for the "Stand up Buffet" which is up to you how many, and is a lot cheaper.

The grub is fine, well made and plentiful and there is always a couple of complimentary bottles of wine about, you then pay for your own beers, spirits etc at the bar.

You also get match tickets in that price, normally somewhere in the North Stand, I'm sure if you asked they could make sure they are difinatly in the NS.

Either way, you and your girlfriends Gran et all will have a fine time.

If you book the running machine in the sports centre gym for a Tuesday night, its right by a window overlooking the pitch.
Other than the press box, thats about as close to watching the game from behind glass that you're gonna get.

Unless you wear glasses.

that wouldn't be the Happy Hatter living in Brighton who 'works' for Racing Post by any chance?

And I celebrated my 30th birthday at Withdean in the Chairman's Box I think it was - only distinguishable as seats were different colour!!
