But it hasnt yet- IF we win out next 3 games- there is a high chance we will make the playoffs!

So come on until we cant actually do it lets be a bit optimistic!!

Problem is we still have an AWAY game to play. We won't win that. We simply don't know how to play away from home at the moment.

A 'high chance' is stretching things hugely. Even IF we were to win all three, we would still need Cardiff AND Middlesbro to fail to win more than ONE of their three.

I'd say that IF we won all three, we'd have about a TEN % chance of sixth.

Please, there is an outside chance that we can make the play-offs, but we always had a difficult run in, and realistically we needed to win the game at Burnley to give ourselves a fighting chance. Finishing in the top ten is realistic though, and would to me be an impressive return to this level of football for us.

We can still even catch Birmingham if Ipswich beat them. They play us after, and then a tricky game against Reading on the final day.

Seventh would be epic, and fit in with the Clubs plan ( Management and Chairman ) not to get promoted this year.

Our season is over. Even if we do win all 3 games (which I don't think we will) I don't think 72 points will be enough. I think both Blackpool and Cardiff will win both of their games this week.

Higher chance than that - Boro have won 1 in EIGHT and Cardiff are serial chokers. But we won't win all 3 (1 is away) so it's ok.

To be honest I think that performance on saturday should have put paid to any notion of going up. I'm hoping for us to retain our spot in the top ten, it's the very least we deserve and gives us a good base on which to build for next season.

It's probably over in terms of our play-off chances, I'd suggest. It might even be over in terms of finally finishing above Palace.

But it's not over in terms of professionals trying to play to their best for 46 league matches, and at the very least remedying Saturday's debacle.

It's going to take a massive effort and no little amount of luck for us to make the play-offs now. And if we do it will just be an amazing bonus on what remains a fantastic and historic season. I've loved it and I love the Championship as a division. In a way, it's arguarbly better than the Premier League in terms of competitiveness and drama.

I already can't wait for next season: a better squad, an even better Amex and a better chance of competing for a place in the Premier League.

People are too unrealistic. When we were in 4th I still thought we were outsiders for the play offs because of our tough run in but 50% on here were sure we'd make it. I'm not happy to be proved right, but there is zero chance we'll make it now, I would have thought Brum will turn us over anyway, looking at our record vs the top 6.

Not quite right. If we win all three games then Middlesbrough can win two and lose one and we'll still go above them if our goal difference is better (it's only 1 worse at the moment). If we win our three games by quite a few goals then we could still overtake Cardiff even if they win 1, draw 1 and lose 1, although we probably need them to pick up no more than three points. To overtake Blackpool is the same situation as overtaking Cardiff but their goal difference is even better so barring some thrashings we need them to pick up a maximum of three points. If Birmingham lose all three, highly unlikely, we can overtake them. We need to overtake two of these four teams. I do agree with the 10% chance of sixth if we win all three games.

I'd normally agree about the away comment... But if there's something to play for, with 6000 Brighton fans cheering on at Barnsley, who have nothing to play for... We'd have every chance. Would be more a one-off game than an away game.

To say we have high chance of getting in the play-offs if we win all three games shows some people haven't a clue. Look at the outstanding fixtures for the other teams. Blackpool and Cardiff are the only teams we can catch and because of our goal difference, they effectively only need 4 pts. Blackpool play Leeds, Burnley and Millwall and Cardiff have Derby, Leeds and Palace. Both have two home games followed by an away, like us. However, we are playing Watford, on current form over last 10 are 3rd behind Reading and Soton, and Birmingham, nuff said.

Instead of getting on your knees and praying before posting about 'high chance' perhaps you should do a little bit more research!!! Nobody is saying it is not possible but highly unlikley is more of an apt description even if we win the 3.
