A couple of weeks ago one of you lot was waxing lyrical about THE DEER HUNTER and what a great film it is.

I haven't seen it since I was a kid in the cinema. (Orion, Burgess Hill since you ask) and could only really remember the russian roulette in the jungle.

Based on the NSC recomendation I bought the DVD and just finished watching it. Utterly bloomin marvellous film. Well done whoever prompted me to get it.

If you haven't seen it for ages, or you were too young to see it when it came out AND you have got three hours to spare, do yourself a favour and get yourelf a copy

I have only watched it once and that was enough. I don't think I've ever come out of the cinema feleing more depressed. Having said that it is one of the best films I've seen.
