I'm in the process of buying a place near Orlando - not sure I want to live out there permanently, but spending winter out there is very appealing. Would miss the Albion though ....

Go to the bars in Kissimmee and you may meet Gordon Lucking he once offered to put £2m into the Albion was turned down by the famous three and became a director of Palace and bought them Nigel Martin.

Wouldn't mind a second home abroad, I'd only use it outside the football season though.

I lived in the USA for a year. It was ok, but not a patch on living in Britain. Canada was just a few miles away and seemed more dull to me. Luckily my American wife decided she fancied living in Sussex so I came back.

If I were to move abroad again, I think it would have to be somewhere in Europe. Preferably away from boorish ex pats

I spent fifteen months living in Italy.

Would recommend it to anyone.

The thing you learn is how foreign (and insular) Britain is.

Read 'notes from a small island' by Bill Bryson.

I am pretty certain I will retire abroad for certain parts of the year - the winter.

Somewhere with a beach and far out.

His books are great, I've just finished "A walk in the woods" which talks about his trek along the Appalachan Trail. Excellent read for a bit of escapism.

Try his latest, it is brilliant albeit took a while to get going.

f***ing hell, I didn't see any pools like that in KK  Did you climb the mountain? It's grim when the weather forces you to turn back feet from the top   Superb place Sabah, and Sarawak

Spent a year travelling through SE Asia and have always wanted to go back and see if I could do it permanently. England's so f***ing depressing sometimes.
