Looks great. Very distinctive running style, quite languid so that if you're only watching him you'd think he wasn't that fast, until you see him outpacing all the defenders around him.

Verse

Oh - thinkin' about our striker needs
There was only one for me
He was young and wild and free
Now money can take you away from Nice
I was worried that we can't score
But that's over now
You keep me comin' back for more

Chorus

And Guessand is all that I want
And he's come over here from France
I'm findin' it hard to believe
We have Evann
And Guessand is all that I need
Whether from the bench or when he starts
It isn't too hard to see
We have Evann

Chandler, AZ
....

Won't offshore Jim try and move him to his failed basketcase English club?

Or at least be touting him around to highest bidder, if we're genuinely interested?
He probably knows nothing about him given that he went on record in March saying "I don’t particularly enjoy going to watch Nice because there are some good players but the level of football is not high enough for me to get excited".

When Chelsea nip in and steal him from under our noses... Evann knows I'm miserable now.
Sadly as they scraped Champions League football on the last day, I imagine they’re fishing in bigger ponds now. Hopefully failing again in the same way they did with other big signings like Lukaku, Werner and Havertz.

Great that everyone seems to want the guy to come, however didn't PBOBE say last summer that the purchase of Georginio was an outliner, and the club wouldn't be spending £40m on a player going forward.

So unless this has changed, there would seem to be no way that we are competing with Spurs on price or European football.

So a nice to have but very unlikely to happen.

Don’t believe that for a second- Barber says a lot of things.
I’ve said every time we’ve broken a transfer record recently it will happen again, and soon. No reason why that won’t be this summer.
Many on here were dismissing the idea of us signing Joao Pedro.
We are a huge club with huge spending power.

I mean, I've no idea what the plans are but he'd be a pretty bad negotiator if he announced that we were intending to splash the cash this summer, wouldn't he?

£40m + 20% sell on for a 17 year old striker who’s in London (allegedly)

I guess he's not at OT much either, if that's the case...?

The people in charge of our purse strings are more concerned with looking for value rather than the price. If they decide there's value in a player, even at £40m, then they'll be in for him.

They'll never say this publicly though - as others have said, that forces the price upwards as it lets everyone know our intentions. We leave that sort of crass incompetence to Man Utd.
