It wasn't really 'Eurovision' though.

A shame. It was so much more interesting than generic ballads like Katrina and the Waves’s offering. It’s the only time I can think of the UK trying to do something different, rather than smothering to appease the neighbours.

Rather think that was a low point that one. Love City Groove didn't hit the mark so it went even more abstract in another attempt later.

Every year I used to hear good popy Eurovision style songs in the charts and thought how good they could have been.

I used to think that Steps would have been perfect. But I'm not sure what the auto-tune rules were :lolol:

I remember once having a chat with Kit Rolfe. Shame she didn't have two other actual singers with her for her Supremes impression.

I have to say, I really enjoyed that show. I've been feeling down lately for various reasons, and it was nice to have a show (and an evening) of uplifting, feel good stuff.
