When Aldershot last visited Crawley, in a FA cup qualifier some 5 years or so ago, they smashed up the Half Moon pub, breaking windows and punching anybody that got in their way, a few people were injured.

Also being a local derby with 1000 Aldershot fans expected together with the local yobs looking for revenge it could be a recipe for major aggro!!

If there is revenge then yes there maybe isssues. But for Aldershot, Crawley are small fry. Having had a pop at teams like Hereford and Exeter last year, I think they will be more interested in going to these places and putting a show on.

What all 9 of them that turned up at Hereford last season and then hid behind the police lines?

I do not know, if there is the just of revenge then I doubt it, if they can bully a little side then yes. They are a bit of a home town mob.

I would have thought a day in Crawley taking the piss would be right up their street. Look at what used to happen when we visited places like Orient.

Aldershot are very disliked by Crawley fans as per reasons I mentioned earlier, and this match will draw a huge crowd with possibly the biggest away support ever to visit the Broadfield stadium.
Both teams have had good starts so it should be a very exciting match with an excellent atmosphere albeit hostile!!

BTW The Half Moon pub will be closed
