Who really cares about the premiership? I only give a toss about the division that Brighton are in. If we go up then the premiership will become an interest to me.

So, by default, you never watch any of the fa cup final, world cup final, premier league, champions league final?

That's weird, because when the loan was announced it was reported as a season long loan, and that it would become permanent if West Ham stay up, with a fee agreed at 18m. To put a recall in such an arrangement seems to overcomplicate things.

Very weird move 2mill on a 6month loan

Here, you could ask 30 people who will win the league and probably get a quite even split between Chelsea, Utd and City. Maybe even some people may say someone like Arsenal.

You then have a battle for relegation every year which normally comes down to the last game.

Last years title came down to the last kick of the ball.

Teams such as Liverpool get beaten by West Brom. Everton beat United.
Southampton were 2-1 up at City. City came back two weeks in a row to win 3-2.

Middling teams like Swansea play exciting, expansive football against teams like Stoke who play proper, old fashioned long ball.

How EXACTLY is that a 'shit' league.,

Well said. Although there is an element of predictablity for the top 6, the league itself is competitive where any team can (and does) beat other teams.

No one would have said last season that Newcastle would end the season above Chelsea!

Never watch premiership or FA cup or Champs league. I think the World cup final is slightly different to the premiership. I said I am not interested in any division unless the Albion are in it. Since when was the World cup the premiership? No comparison.

... is the right answer. For me at the moment the Championship (OSD) is the best league in the world. I cringe when I think that I once complained to some media outlet about the lack of coverage of the bottom division, however at the time we were in it and therefore it was the Best League To Be In. Now of course I realise it's a noddy tinpot league for noddy tinpot clubs and not deserving of any coverage whatsoever - ditto league one.

Likewise I have absolutely no interest in the Champions' League as there is a FAR bigger game at Watford tonight. And don't get me started on that Europa League bollocks, what a waste of time that is.

I look forward to recanting both those views in the future!

Well I've watched the World Cup final as it's an international but as for the others - nope. Seriously, I'm not interested. I'm one of the few Sky Sports subscribers who has no interest in premier league football.

Well, no. It's clearly not is it.

The whole idea of a league format is for the best teams to be top. Thats why its a league.

In Italy there is one team who can win it. Juve.
In spain two teams can win it.
In Scotland only one team has a chance.
In France, PSG will romp it.

The wages and personality of players does not effect the standard of the league.

The class of the league itself is not in question.

Also, if you base that on whether you watch football or not, I assume you also don't watch Championship matches as players earn on average £250k+ a year for a few hours work a week. Is that not overpaid?

£250k A year is what a majority of prem players earn in a month - 6 weeks. Its not even in comparrision to what players earn. I love Wayne Bridge, but is he really worth 90k per week, say it out loud, 90k per week. its is dramatically over paid.

All of this is absolutely spot on. Most people are overreacting against all the Sky hype. Ignore what Sky say, look at it objectively: compared to 90% of other countries top leagues, the Prem is more competitive. It's a very exciting league.

Ah. Now that's different.

No one is doubting that the jump in wages is mind-boggling.

But, surely, you must agree that Championship players are also 'overpaid'.

You claimed the prem is shit because of its overpaid players. I would play devils advocate and say the championship is also full of overpaid players. Yes they are LESS overpaid than the prem players, but they are still overpaid in their own right. Does that not, by default, mean its also shit?

A players wage or personality has absolutely NO bearing on whether the LEAGUE (ie the competitive nature, entertainment and standard) is seen as good or not.

In Luxembourgs top division they hardly earn a penny. Does that mean its better?

So you don't watch it. You never will watch it. So your opinion is based solely on...

Assuming that 95% of the players are overpaid. The average wage in the Premier League is £22k a week. This is £10,000 above what you would believe to be the cap for Brighton to pay their players. This is warped further because of United, Chelsea and City having wage bills over £150m a year.

Assuming that 95% of the players are cheats and divers. I watch Match of the Day regularly, and I don't believe 95% of players cheat and dive. Objectively speaking I've seen a lot of suspect falls from Brighton players to lead me to believe there's no more, or less diving in the Premier League to any other league in England. Watch a Spanish or Italian game and then tell me we have a problem over here.

Assuming that 95% of the players are knobheads. I don't really know how to answer this one.
