I am not convinced Rooney is fit enough to play up front on his own.

rooney wont be effective as a lone striker so you have to have crouch with rooney behind. You then need to pick 4 midfielders + ideally have a holding player. IMO the tough decision that Ericson is paid 4m pounds for is to drop Lampard

I think he'd be better than Carragher, but we need the holding position player, so I'd rather loose Crouch or Lampard/gerrard get half a game each
