Stat - if you don't mind me asking, how old were your two when you got them? Are they related to each other?

Kudos to you...
They are 8 and nearly 10 full brother and sister.

This comes as no surprise to me. From my window at the moment I can see into a slum where kids are running about in the sunshine chasing each other, no money in the world but blimey they look happy.

Will they be as happy when one of their siblings is dying from a preventable disease, or when they are orphaned in their teens?

Happiness is subjective, and massively skewed by expectation.

Pointless survey, with meaningless results.

My six year old has a tantrum if we won't let him watch The Inbetweeners . He watched at a school chums house . On the Upper Drive of all places.

My youngest was in a right old mood yesterday, but she seems to have brightened up today....so I'd put our result at 15th out of 30.

Blimey, that is a bit harsh. Was only making a quick observation.

I wasn't WISHING it on them!

Just pointing out that all things are relative. Yes - those kids you were watching were happy in THAT moment. It doesn't tell the whole story, that's all.
