Following their poor showing during this years World Cup, the FA have taken the unusual step of changing the opponents England are due to face in their next home Friendly match on Wed 11th August 2010.

After agreeing compensation with their football federation, Hungary have agreed to step aside to allow England play Iceland on the same date as the original England vs Hunagary friendly. All tickets sold prior to this change will be valid for the new opponents but if fans prefer to, they will be able to get a full refund on their tickets. (contact your original ticket vendor for a full refund)

When asked for an explanation for the sudden and unexpected change, an FA spokes person replied "We feel that the Iceland team will offer a fairer test of this teams abilities, and if England were to win this match, we have already provisionally lined up further friendly matches against Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsburys" - Dates to be announced.

I thought it was shit.

Anyway it's time to stop the stupid England jokes and get a sense of proportion about what our expectations should be given the domination of the premiership.
