4-1-4-1 would be the system to play if we had a natural target man, certainly. In the absence of such a player, 4-4-2 is probably the way to go, but with either Lampard or Gerrard making way for a holding player.

Also the more players that score, the more comfortable they will be going for goal when the real thing starts. I know it's a compltetly different situation, but last season all we saw were people afraid to have attempts at goal.
