...and also a reminder of how Bangladesh have progressed since then.A quick reminder England played two extremely one-sided test matches against Bangladesh in 2005 shortly before the greatest series in recent times against Australia that summer
Let's see if test cricket is still "dying" next February once the dust has settled on the next two series, shall we?
Zimbabwe are NOT a Test Nation.
93-0 after 19 overs.
Wicket in your first overI just came in and sat down and within 5minutes Crawley's given out LBW.
All is well with the world.![]()
What period are you referring to? There has almost always been weaker nations in test cricket. The last England team in Australia springs to mind.Waste of time Non competitive. These games make test averages a farce compared to players years ago
Which era 'years ago' did you have in mind?Waste of time Non competitive. These games make test averages a farce compared to players years ago
And Stuart Broad wants to get along the road for the match on SundayShouldn’t they be declaring? That must be enough runs and it’s a 4 day match I would have thought they might like to have a pop. They can’t need batting practice that much shirley.
“Another batsman” - poor Zak Crawley, will nobody (but Rob Key) love him?
When I were a lad, it happened every third Ashes test.Top three may be getting hundreds here. I remember that happened at Brisbane in 2010, but I can't remember since.
The only other time England have managed this was in 2022 vs Pakistan in Rawalpindi - and it was the same 3 batsmen! England have never done the top 4, that has only ever been done twice, both on the Sub-Continent by Pakistan and India.Top three may be getting hundreds here. I remember that happened at Brisbane in 2010, but I can't remember since.
