Wondered how long it would take before talk of chucking came along.

Did anyone see him bowl with that cast on his arm? Consequently proving that he doesn't straighten his arm, therefore nothing wrong with it.

The man is a genius, ever tried bowling a Doosra, flippin impossible.

Our reason for losing this test match is firstly letting them get much beyond 150 in the first innings then not getting at least 300 in our first innings. Oh and who would have cared if we had been capable of catching at lords?

We shouldn't talk about the Ashes of 2005 any more. This team has to start again, stop dining off that marvellous series and start playing good cricket again. And get Vaughan back as captain, Freddie's batting has been poor since he's captain, takes away his freedom.

And Cook must be replaced by Vaughan otherwise we'll have too many lame ducks in the field.

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
There is no shame in losing to one of the greatest spinners ever, on a deteriorating pitch. It shows how far we have come when we used to get obliterated by the Sri Lankans in a test series. Missed opportunities and poor fielding lost us this series.

The ICC studies his action and found that he straightened his arm between 10 and 14 degrees when bowling the doosra.

The laws were then changed to allow a 15 degree straightening of the arm, thereby making it a legal delivery.

I don't think any of that is in question. He does straighten his arm, and it is by a permissable amount, because they changed the laws to allow it.

All of that is FACT. It just bugs me whenever he beats us, because it doesn't seem fair to me.

whts the difference between a doosra and a wrong un ?

As I understand it a wrong un is a leg spinners delivery whereas the doosra is bowled by off spinners.

I think you are mixing up your GOOGLIES and WRONG'UNS!

A googly is a leg-spinners one that goes the OTHER WAY, and a DOOSRA is an off-spinners one that goes the other way.

Both are wrong'uns.

A Chinaman is left-hander's googly and a Bosie is what Aussies call a googly. God knows what the others are ....

All of this is more important than the fact that England have now blatantly been CHEATED into defeat by Murali and blind foreign umpires who HATE US (er, I assume, I haven't watched one ball of it.)
