England handed a Test debut to Gloucestershire swing bowler Jon Lewis in the npower series finale against Sri Lanka at Trent Bridge.

Lewis, 30, replaced Lancashire paceman Sajid Mahmood in the only change from the XI that claimed victory at Edgbaston last weekend.

Although Lewis has featured in numerous squads over the past couple of years, his international experience is limited to three one-day internationals and a Twenty20 match against Australia.

That's a pain. we'll have to face him next week now. Could be tough for Sussex, particularly if we're without Rana and Yards still.

SL have won the toss and are batting first. Will be a good wicket although likely to be a bit of life early on.

Freddie will open with Hoggy and maybe himself although to get the best out of Jon Lewis I think he should give the new ball to him instead. Once its a flat wicket Lewis will look a bit ordinary.

Try and get at least 4 SL wickets before lunch. Surely they'll make a better fist of the 1st innings this time round.
