Terry - 6 - against a better side he would have been in trouble, his postioning was poor
Rio - 5 - I know he scored but he did not have a good game at back
Cole - 6 looked ok going forward - not in the form he was a couple of years ogo

Cole - 7 quite a quiet game for him tonight still looked a danger
Barry - 9 mom
gerrard - 6
swp - 7 needs to work on crossing but looked good

Heskey - 8 what we have been missing
owen - 9 - got the goals

Robbo 7 - Couple of decent enough stops, communication with his defence needs to improve though.

Richards 7 - Another good performance.

A. Cole 6 - Caught out a few times.

Terry 8 - Captains performance, no nonsense.

Ferdinand 6 - Shakey at the back but a fine goal.

Wright Phillips 7 - Should have scored with the header but other than that he was good. Energetic display.

J. Cole 7 - Good enough and VERY harshly booked after making two fantastic tackles.

Gerrard 8 - Dominated the midfield and controlled the tempo of the game.

Barry 9 - My MOTM. Passing was amazing once again, and he is quality alongside Gerrard.

Heskey 8 - Another good display from the overly criticized big target man.

Owen 8 - He IS a world class finisher. Anyone who thinks differentely is a fool.

Subs:

Downing - No time to impress.

Neville - Ditto.

Crouch 6 - Won a couple of headers and looked neat and tidy

Robbo 7 - Didn't have too much to do but looked decent enough

Richards 8 - Good at getting forward

A. Cole 5 - Didn't think he had a great game

Terry 7 - Did his job, tidy enough performance

Ferdinand 6 - Some less than convincing defending as usual but the goal was impressive

Wright Phillips 7 - Looked good but messed up some crosses

J. Cole 8 - Always seems to put in a good performance for England, booking was very unfair

Gerrard 7 - Scuffed a couple of shots but was solid in midfield

Barry 9 - A class performance, well ahead of Lampard imho

Heskey 8 - Good link up play with Owen, don't let him shoot though!

Owen 8 - Back to his old self, seems to have no nerves in front of goal.

why is it that people stillhave a go at our defence ?
we have the best defence record of any team in the whole of Euro Qualifying only conceding 2 goals. One of which bobbled over Robinsons foot !

Our defence has been the least of our worries.
