Going all in on Anderson reaching 709 test wickets in front of a packed MCG on Boxing Day then shushing the crowd

Blimey, he'd have to go some to do that,

Expect a few greentops this year if that's the plan

Picking a batsmen with surfers eye syndrome is like picking a CB with ligament damage for a major football tournament, nobody in their right mind would do that though .

Sad to see these racist tweets from Robinson's past emerging, think this could be his last England game for quite a while.

No reason for it to be. As usual, it was when he was a teenager.

Those who sit in judgement should be thankful that Twitter wasn't around when they were young. They'll be plenty of righteous hypocrisy around on this one.

So, let anyone who never said anything inappropriate or racist when they were young cast the first stone.

Oh, look, all we have left standing are people with poor memories.

Comparing these tweets (at age 18) to what Craig Overton said and did is miles off the mark

19, old enough to pay professional cricket, not like he was a school kid. In the current climate and given the anti racism message pre game it is very, very poor form. He will at the very least need to come out and make an apology.

I'm sure he will. He's been pretty open about his 'professionalism' at that age.

Folk do a lot of growing up after 19. Some are not as mature as others. Being able to swing a cricket ball is not a barometer.

When I was 19 I was pretty naive and immature. Thankfully Twitter didn't exist. I also held racist views and probably expounded them. Given the environment I grew up in it was hardly surprising. Robinson grew up in east Kent. Go figure.

This is not to say that he shouldn't apologise for any offended folk. But it's notable that the re-surfaced Tweets come from that period alone- and are strangely timed.

But, let's face it, those who have trawled for them are searching for their fifteen minutes of fame through their latest upload of piety porn.

Those who sit on their righteous perches should take a good look at their own history. Once they've realised they were likely no better they should get off. There will be few left.

One thing us English seem to do best of all is hypocrisy. I should know, I'm English. I am a hypocrite. But I am at least sensitive to the realities of human behaviour.

Agreed, he should've known better at that age...but you say "in the current climate it is very poor form", yet these were from 8-9 years ago? I bet there was a lot worse being tweeted back then, and no one was batting an eye lid...less than a decade ago.

Not wishing to start a forum war but aren't you the guy who post pictures of scantily clad women ? Some would view that as sexism and poor form.

They're going to drop him for actually guilty of racism Craig Overton?
