This bowling is pointless

Much as Silverwood is a donkey and the ECB clearly don’t care about test cricket, the batsman are still out there and are good enough to score more than an average of 170, at this point we might as well just send our 50 over side out they’ll probably get more

Chris Silverwood worst coach for a long time.

These are experienced bowlers they certainly don't need a dobby bowler who done the square root of cock all in his career telling them how to bowl.

Agree but the ECB will never learn. Always appoint lickers or from the old boys network. Michael Vaughan would be the perfect coach but like you said we have a cock as a coach but who says what the ECB want him to. A Muppet on a string . I feel so sorry for Joe Root our one only truly world class player .

Terrible performance all round.
Don't want Vaughn involved either as he has turned into a media **** since retiring, up there with Warne.
A seasoned ex pro who knows test cricket, any suggestions ?

Can see us ending up getting absolutely caned here. Wouldn't be surprised if India bat today and almost all tomorrow.

Proper opening batsmen making all the difference. Who'd have thunk it?

Plus our bowlers look shagged already.

We knacker ourselves out bowling two foot outside off. India made us play nearly every ball. And we did, BADLY.

When I look at our test batting line-up my first reaction is, as always, 50-3.

That is such a negative view!

We got to 66 -3.
Then it went pear shaped at 138! Lost the next 6 wickets for 42 :(
I suspect India will win this by an innings and whitewash the series.

Still, it's good practice for the Ashes :)

The ironic thing about this performance is that there will be accusations that one-day cricket has ruined the technique of the England players, but we are playing INDIA - the home of the IPL, the biggest short format competition in the world.

This India team is incredible. This England team have had the ridiculous distraction of the Hundreds in the lead up and are bang average anyway.
