Excellent commetns by Geoffrey 'corridor of uncertainty' Boycott regarding Broad not walking, Agnew sounds a bit silly living in a world where everyone walks around with their hat on the side of their head whistling a happy tune and playing 'by the roolz'. Get real Aggers.

Don't like Agnew - he has a tendency to sound incredibly pompous when criticising someone. He was really woolly on the Trott decision despite it being a clear error by the 3rd umpire. If he wants to be critical, it should be consistent and just get on his high horse over certain things.

If we could get another 40 tomorrow that would probably make the game safe as regards Australia getting a win.
I don't think it's so much about runs but time, I think we need to bat until lunch at the least, with time will come runs.

Either way the Aussies will have probably a day and a half to chase 300 (ish), it's very much in the balance, in our favour is Swanny is a quality spinner playing on his home wicket.

I hope the broad incident dosent set a press ident for the series. We have been on the wrong end of a couple of decisions so far & have now had one go our way.
What about the spirit of the game or is that now out of the window.
Will fielders now start to claim catches that they know are not because the decision now lies with the umpires.
Let's hope the integrity of the game can remain intact.

Cobblers to that.

It started with the bodyline series.

Convicts, the lot of 'em.

That evens up the the missed stumping and the Trott decision from yesterday as far as I'm concerned. Now he just needs to make it count like Agar did.

Terrible sportsmanship, but don't believe for a second that any of the aussie team would've walked in that situation.

Spot on. Just about half evens up yesterday's decisions. Depends how many Broad makes now...

I don't think Darren Lehman is full of the milk of human kindness, he'll be winding them up and I reckon this series could become a war. Which is right and proper IMO, a war which of course we have to win. I think England needed a few incidents to get their adrenalin up anyway.

That's all true. But this might have the side effect giving them something to rally around: nothing like an injustice to do that.

There's a huge difference between Sunday league cricket, and the Ashes - the pinnacle of English cricket. England have been very hard done by in this test, and to an extent this evens it up.

As others have said, I don't blame Broad at all. Clarke has been using his appeals in ridiculous fashion and gets what he deserves

Much as I agree it evened things up your first comment is a bit.. well, wrong. There should be no difference in sport, esp cricket, from any level of playing. Just cos this is the Ashes doesn't mean it's any different to the cricket etiquette of any level...

Still bloody funny it helped even things up against the Aussies of course

Come on guys, we all know that you don't walk in a pressure situation in test match cricket any more. Stop being so naive. The only time people walk is when they have runs on the board or it doesn't really matter.

I wouldn't be giving Broad too many overs at Aleem Dar's end for the rest of the test match though. I'm sure he'll remember that Broad made a mug out of him.

Also, had Australia not wasted a review ridiculously, then this wouldn't even have been an issue.
