what really concerns me is that the sussex lad who goes in opener/no 3 has not done himself any favours and going by recent selections, he may habve blown his chances full .

I feel he should have been placed just a little further down the order due to his inexperience at international level.
 














99 for 1 off 11.1 at least we not out, I would put Matt down to 3, he is scoring quickly enough, but we need a stable start, not an opener out in 3 overs. Wright, again drop him down but then he is competing with Flintoff, etc

Results between super 8 teams are carried forward to that stage. Which means that this result is not just about qualifying. We need to WIN it.

Not in this tournament. Simply two leagues of 4 - everyone plays each other, and the two mini-league winners play in the final.

So by batting first, did we pretty much guarantee that we would qualify?

We got royally screwed by Australia, and still went through,

But if we had bowled first and they had got 350, then we'd got 130 all out, we'd have gone out of the competition!
