Sky's stattos reckon if Australia win in 9.3 overs or quicker, England are out.

Australia are far too canny to let that happen.

If they do, then Zim go through and Australia take zero points into the next round.

If they get there after 11 overs, England go through and Aussies take 2 points forward.

For London Calling;

The next round is a 'super 8' like the recent World Cup. Its a round robin league of the 8 qualifiers, except that you don't play against the other qualifier from your group - the result of the group match stands.

Thus if Aus qualify with Zim, then they start the next phase effectively on no points from one game.

If they win this game slowly enough to ensure that England qualify, then they start the next phase with two points from one game.

Clearer?

Nice try but not really - can't we just have a simple knock-out win and you are through to the next round format. At least it would get rid of all the tedious non-contents and over-complicated formats which are only there to justify TV coverage

It isn't like that at all, I'm afraid. As I said earlier on this thread, it's two leagues of four teams who play each other once. The top two from each group progress to the semi-finals, and results from the first group stage aren't carried forward into the second group stage.
