SkySportsNews have mentioned that they think Jack Hinshelwood may start due to the fact that he was given media duties for the game.

According to the internet, "The England U21 v Portugal U21 game will be shown live on England YouTube and The FA Player."

Hackney and Bellingham are both excellent. Amazed they’re still in the Champ.

Yeah he’s basically playing right wing and, unsurprisingly, struggling a bit. His versatility will play against him some times.
Gray is being told to come in field.
Two central midfielders playing as RB and RW just because they can. Seems odd at international level.

Isolated on the right hand side.
Strange one. Probably one of the few positions I’d say he’s not really suited too. Great that he’s starting though, I guess.

Half-time
England 2 Portugal 1

For the opening 20 mins England were completely in control playing some lovely fast, passing football and could easily have been 4-0 up. Goals from Hackney and Nwaneri gave them a two goal lead in under 10 minutes.

Silva then pulled a goal back against the run of play in the 22nd minute and from that point on Portugal looked the more likely to score. Beadle pulled off two good saves to keep England in front and was a little fortunate to not concede a penalty when he clattered into Silva.
