gotta have King at least in the squad -
esp. as Campbell and Ferdinand are only just back from breaks (who knows the level of their match fitness).

Other than that - looks a good team cts

Heskey as a sub would bring something very different to the game. There is little point having so many like for like players on the bench, Smith just gets the place on the bench for me ahead of Defoe.

You sound like Kevin Keegan! His only tactical change ever was to bring Heskey on for extra weight up front. I agree, Heskey does bring something different to the team. He brings the ability to pull in $40k a week for being big, failing to jump, run or control a football. If you're after a lump of shit on a football pitch being hopelessly outclassed at international level, then Heskey's your man for sure.

My team:

Robinson

Neville (RB)
Ferdinand (CD)
Campbell (CD)
Cole (LB)

Beckham (RM)
Lampard (CM)
Butt (CM)
Dyer (LM) bling bling

Rooney
Owen

Subs: Green, King, Bridge, Hargreaves, J.Cole, Smith, Defoe

It took me a while to go for the left-winger, but he's got more potential than Heskey! Against players he knows, like the Welsh, Dyer would let noone down I reckon.

Shame he's a nob

Its also a bit of an issue that he is right footed.

I guess if Sven is sticking with 4-4-2 I would go with;

Robinson, Neville, A Cole, Campbell, Ferdinand, Beckham, Butt, Lampard, Owen, Rooney and Bridge.

I would be tempted to stick Joe Cole in for Bridge, as I did think against Austria both Ashley Cole and Bridge were at times getting in each others way as they both wanted to play the left back role.

However with our lack of a left midfielder and the depth in centre backs (Campbell, Ferdinand, Woodgate, King, Terry, Upson and even Southgate) I do wish Sven would at least try playing a five man defence.
