Robinson 6 - nothing to do.

Cole 6 - got forward well, but sloppy and careless.
Brown 5 - looked shaky & hesitant.
Carragher 6 - sound enough.
Neville 7 - supported well, occasional threat up front.

Lampard 5 - game passed him by, very quiet.
Gerrard 7 - tried, did okay, but not as influential as he can be.
Beckham 7 - ditto with effort, especially first half, but faded away.

Wright-Phillips 5 - very poor, showed flashes of talent but seemed nervy.
Owen 6 - received little service, did nothing of note.
Rooney 7 - some good runs, but crowded out.

Subs: Hargreaves 5 (decent 5 minutes, then decided he'd had enough of running), Johnson 5 (played out of position, poor, but unfair to judge), Downing 6 (promising in patches, not given enough time), Jenas 5, Dyer 5.

MOM: The bloke in the lion suit. It was THAT good.

Hurst Green
0 for the lot of them, had more fun looking for a non-existant animal in an empty enclosure at a zoo

Friendlies are just like warm up games now - no-one really cares and Sven lost the plot against Australia

Only excitement I got was seeing a sign that said "Seaford" on the far side.... then I realised it said Sleaford!

I know he plays for Palarse; but why play Johnson as a right winger ?

At least W-P got in the positions to have a crack at goal even if he missed. Everyone just seemed happy to keep it at 0-0.

Couldn't give Downing a 6 even for the short time he was on the pitch. I just remember two crosses that didn't go past the 1st defender.

Should have watched the last episode of The Rotters Club instead - damn!
