According to Motty (inane chuckle), Estonia seem to have a player called Lynn Perrie ???

Things that have interested me about this game so far (comedy goals excepted):

(1) Motty stating in the first half "Ashley Cole certainly isn't the type of player to go down easily" (This was before his actual injury, obviously)
???

(2) The fact that the England back four is now Everton-Portsmouth-Everton-Man City

(3) Has there ever been an England player named Joleon before?

(4) Michah Richards is my favourite England player by a mile

Standing in the way of control
Hansen seems to have got a new phrase - "totally relevant". He used it twice in the post-game analysis. Sadly for Scarface it made no sense at all - "Rooney's movement was totally relevant"...eh?

England "fans" booing Frank Lampard. :nono:
And Phil Neville. It's a bad trend that seems to have developed over the last few years, I can't remember ever hearing it before that. Downing, Hargreaves, and Crouch have all had it too (and look at the latter two now). Whatever you think of a player to boo them when they're coming on is ludicrous and shameful.

Pathetic wasn't it.

I'm really not keen on an element of England's 'support'.

Couldn't agree more - the term 'supporter' couldn't be more inappropriate for them.

Fairly solid performance, no suprise that the second half was a 'non event'. In fact, the whole game was - Estonia were shocking.

Barry was class, yet again completely upstaging Gerrard in the middle of the park. Gerrard was quite frankly piss poor (it's alledgedly Lampard who's been holding him back, but even with a defensive midfield player he does sod all). Back line looked alright - rather concerning about Cole though.

I still worry about our defensive tactics. We don't defend well, look all at sea when the ball gets near our area.
Micah Richards is a sensational player going forward, and we do very well at attacking using the rearguard players - but sometimes it's very scary to see oppositions coming at us. They get free shots easily, and occasionally it players like Joe Cole who come back to save things.
If it's up to Cambell Neville and Lescott, then I can see things going pear-shaped quickly.
That's without any talk about Robinson.....
