England Match - David Beckham

Anyone else think he played utter rubbish last night? He did only 2 good things in the whole game:

1. Scored a penalty (and god help him if he didn't)

2. Did 1 good cross to Owen, that gave him the goal.

Apart from this, Mr Beckham couldn't pass, take corners and rarely tackled.

Everyone I have spoken to disagrees with me, but I feel quite strongly about this.

What does everyone else think?

I think youre being a little harsh on him, he did win loads of tackles and headers in our box, he put the cross in that won the penality as well as scoring it and setting up the second goal, I didn't think any of the starters looked 100%, A Cole was all over the place, and i thought Dyer was our best player as well !!!

Andy Cole is awful, always out of position!

He looks as bad as Sir Bob did when he was played left midfield for the 21s

Never been particularly impressed with Lampard but thought he did well last night, Dyer looked great and I was impressed with Joe Cole aswell. That said I only caught the last half an hour, bloody egg chasers at CamUni Rugby Club didn't have Sky. Unbelievable.

Beckham wasn't great, but the two things he did do (score and assist) were the difference between winning and drawing.

Scholes was cack, as was Cole.

Lampard, Dyer and joe Cole all looked good.

People complain about all the subs, but taking an experienced squad to a tournement (world cup, euro champs) is vital as injuries and suspensions take their toll.

Not very inpressed with Terry, I was expecting big things of him. Maybe he just has am off day as I haven't seen him play that badly before.

I felt a bit sorry for Terry as he was being pulled from central to do Coles job, not really his fault, he looked a lot better in the second half when Bridge came on and actually did a left backs job.

It was his first start as well, lets not forget that
