BREAKING NEWS
The UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body suspend two England under 21 players; Steven Caulker for two international matches and Thomas Ince for one match. Both players will miss the match against Italy on 5 June 2013 and Caulker will also miss the fixture against Norway on 8 June.

The Serbian Under-21 team have been ordered to play their next home match behind closed doors and four Serbian players have also received suspensions. The Football Association of Serbia (FSS) has also been fined €80,000 (£65,000).

The players have three days to appeal against these decisions which relate to incidents during and after the 2013 UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-off second-leg match against Serbia on 16 October.

I know I'm not meant to post on none palace threads but just want to say that I think it's absolutely disgusting. 1 game behind closed doors. A paltry fine? UEFA want to claim they lead the way in anti racism but they should do that with severe penalties. It's a shame I think. Will Ince andCaulker appeal? Interesting as well to see that the player targeted by the Serbian FA for the reason they creating a ruckus was Danny Rose and he's not been punished at all.

in fairness John Terry has a much fatter bank balance and greater earnings capacity (certainly if measured net of unavoidable costs) than the Serbian FA.

Uefa said Serbia were punished due to the "improper conduct of its supporters during and at the end of the match, as well as for the improper conduct of the Serbia players at the end of the game".
The punishment is not just for racist behavior so it's even more risible. Don't forget Nicklas Bendtner's £80,000 fine for underwear adverts.

Also an under 21 game behind closed doors.......given normally these games are played in Europe with a man and his dog (white of course) this is not going to hurt the Serbian FA. Just means the racist fans can go and abuse black players when the senior team play. thats' alright then.

Nicklas Bendtner shows the top of his pants at Euro 2012 saying Paddy Power - fine of £80,000

Serbian fans are racist to players through a whole match - fine of £60,000

This shows that either UEFA couldn't give 2 shits about racism or they hate England - probably both.
