saw them on sky sports news last night,
the england fans on there made a good point,
They are members of the supporters club, they booked there flights in january.
they said the FA bombard them with e-mails on the new england kit etc, but they never recieved one e-mail telling them not to travel to macedonia.
they had t-shirts made up saying something like -"the minority of england fans cause trouble, we are the majority.
the Macedonian offical said there is an empty pace behind the goal as they have not sold out the ground, they may put England fans there.
I think the FA have ducked all responsibility on this one. The easy thing to say is 'the fans are all a bunch of psychos, no-one in their right mind would go, it's just asking for trouble.' And some of that would be true.
BUT.
There was an easy way round this. Most of the fans going are just unwilling to sacrifice flights/hotel bookings made well before the FA decided not to take up tickets. They have been completely stitched up. How much in commercial spin-offs is qualification worth? Millions. If the FA had said 'we'll compensate anyone who can show us proof of plane ticket/hotel booking before we said you can't have tickets' it would have cost them maybe £50,000 tops, and the vast majority would then not have travelled. Small price to pay for no trouble.
