It's a shame that it has decended to this level but how long do we have to put up with this excuse for football. These player, managers, and all other hangers on earn a fortune and love the crap celeb status when things are good. So on the the other side of the coin they are going to get more vitriol when things go bad - that's life if you don't like it bugger off.

Personnally I would like to see the fans stay away for the first game at wembley that would hit the FA in purse and may hammer the point home more than the booing. Imagine these prima donnas playing the first international at the new Wembley in front of empty seat, that would damage there ego's.

And may get rid of McClaren quicker if the FA are loosing money (God forbid).

people do forget that McLaren was 3rd choice. Big Phil Scolari, Gus Hiddink and then Mclaren...and people wanted an English manager!!!

I wa svery dissapointed with Downing, Ashley Cole and Rooney yesterday. i would even go so far as to say that rooney was a liability ...if he can be wound up by some indian amatuer footballer, then how the hell is he going to cope with Italy or france.....and the same goes for Ashley Cole.

Some people wanted an England manager, most people wanted the best person for the job.

Should have got Hiddink as manager and made Gerrard captain.

Good call!

Feel a bit sorry for McClaren really. As much as i don't rate the guy,15000 labelling him a 'wanker' to his face is a bit harsh.

Admittedly he's royally cocked up our team, acted like a fool in dropping Beckham for non-footballing reasons, made dire substitutions, is struggling to get us to the Euros in a piss poor group and hasn't got a clue where to play Rooney, one of the best players in the Premier league......but he's not really a 'wanker'

I do recall giving Bobby Robson both barrells and telling him where to go and how to get there after enduring a particulakry awful 0-0 draw (world Cup qualifier) with Sweden at Wembley in (1989)

And we definitely made our feelings felt at the 1988 european Championship 1-3 defeat by the Soviet Union at Frankfurt.......

The obsession with appointing someone before the World Cup really screwed us. Why didn't we just wait until the shakedown afterwards and then nip in and appijnt somoene with a bit of tactical acumen and someone the players would respect.

There are times I'd be delighted if Gerrard, Lampard et al just said enough is enough and retired from international football.

I'd sooner see Joey Barton, Dave Nugent and co out there. They may not play for the top clubs and they might not be as good as others but there's no point being a brilliant player if your performances give rise to suggestions you're not really trying your hardest.

The fans?

People that have probably paid out in nearly £1000 in the last 4 days to go to Isreal and then Barcelona and seen two huge piles of shite served up?

You pays your money you has your say.

Some people forget this.
It's when football players and the team are put on some untouchable pedestal as if they are beyond reproach. Well, it's the fans England too, and if they feel the players aren't fit to wear the shirt, or the manager doesn't represent the squad well - they certainly have every right to speak up.

I blame the FA, they buggered up the selection process from start to finish, the fans should be calling for heads to roll in the FA. Steve M is trying his best, not his fault he's crap

Ohhhh yeeesss he is!

VERY well paid wanker as well, and how odd that you listed such tangible claims to the title - good enough reasons to lable him a wanker.

I'm sorry, but I didn't understand a word of that .....England DID wait until after the WC to appoint a manager ???

Plus....joey Barton and David Nugent? Are you having a laugh?

I guess it doesn't help that the current best English midfielder has long since retired from international football.

Scholes is in the form of his life and I'd drop Gerrard and Lampard to accomodate him.

Scholes wont do it, I for one would love to see barton or nugent in!

You'lll get far more passion from them than any 100K a week millionaire primadona playing for their own ego's!

Why is rooney still in when he hasnt score din 3 years??

JOKE!
