Spot on,Frag.Just ask awkward questions.

Fragmented Badger said:He is aggresive, strong, brave, and a fantastic leader. Those things all get you to the top of the Premiership. They also get you in the England team. They even make you look very good against average international teams, maybe even some good ones. However, when I say "world class" I mean players who will not only stand up, but SHINE, against the best 2-3 teams in the world, who I believe to be the likes of Brazil, Argentina, maybe Italy or Holland. If/when we play Brazil, I do not think Terry will shine. I think he will be caught out for speed and skill against the Brazilian attackers, and I think he does not have the speed of thought to cope with Ronaldinho, Kaka, Adriano etc.
Ok, against all but one or two teams Terry is "world class," but at the VERY top, I'm not so sure![]()

I can't be arsed to reply to every one of your posts so this applies to all of them. You are vastly overestimating the quality of every other international side, and you seem to have caught a disease from John Motson that makes you think that if you are from Brazil you must be one of the 11 best players in the world, the other 10 being the rest of the Brazil squad. Terry is better than all of those players at the moment, mabye not better than Ayala and Nesta in their prime but they are getting on these days. That list of players you've given looks like you've been playing champo too much. If you think Spain and Portugal are better defensively than we are then you are deluded. The Italians have the same problem as we do with regards to having a good team on paper but never being able to perform when it counts, only they have it 10 times worse. To sum it up, I can see where you are coming from, but you are wrongFragmented Badger said:Off the top of my head:
Puyol
Nesta
Andrade
Ayala
Coloccini (maybe)
Carvalho (maybe)
I would take all of those over Terry on the WORLD STAGE. No doubt some idiot will point out that Terry is better than Carvalho at Chelsea, but the Premiership is all blood and thunder, so of course Terry will stick out as being good. As I said, you need pace and skill to cope with the class teams, and Terry won't quite have it. The only teams I expect to be able to cope with Brazil are Argentina, Italy, and MAYBE someone like Spain or Portugal.
