Whilst I understand your perspective it's a cop out. If our representatives were really interested in what's right for us and the country rather than lining their own pockets, they would have taken responsibility for running public services efficiently. Instead they just took the line of least resistance.

It can be done, as the East Cost Rail line proved. However, the neocons don't want you to know that because it doesn't fit with their narrative.
