Presumably that Love Will Tear us Apart is a Joy Division song?

......and New Order play Love Will Tear us Apart at their gigs because they were formed by the remaining members of Joy Division.

I am still missing the point he was trying to make. Because no members of the Beatles were in the Stones. They were completely different bands.

okay my example was poor at best, but I see Joy Division and New Order as two diffrent bands, I'm a big Happy Mondays fan but never got to hear Step On when I went to see Black Grape and they not only had a similiar line up but the same lead vocalist

When I saw Hugh Cornwell he said "It's nearly the end of the show but I can't be arsed to go off & wait for you to demand an encore so I'll just play them now & we can all go home". Which he did.

Aye Hugh Cornwell said the same when I saw him. The man is just too cool!!!

Agree completely.

Manic Street Preachers never do encores either, well they did one for their gig in Cuba, but it would have been considered very rude if they hadn't.

Radiohead do two don't they?

Yes fair point. But the point i was making was that I knew that New Order were going to play Blue Monday and Love Will tear us Apart. They didn't in the main set so i knew they were coming back for an encore so what is the point of an encore if we al know they are coming back for one. I wasn't complaining that they didn't play Love Will Tear us Apart because they did (not that they had to because as they point out they are a different band but I had heard and read that they were going to)
